I don't buy Madden games.
Please direct me toward these capcom re-hashes you're talking about.Quote:
600th rehash that SNk or Capcom have coming down the pipes.
They're up to Street Fighter 3: Fourth Strike in Japan.
I don't get the Smash Bros. hate. It was really really fun all the times I played it. It is a multiplayer game, but then again so are a lot of the Wii Sports games.
I understand what you mean but I really don't get it all the hate about this particular game. I don't play 2D fighters, to be quite fair I suck at them. I was good at Street Fighter 2 back in the day and maybe the next iteration with the Indian Guy and the Rhastafarian Guy (and bruce lee). Smash Brothers isn't about that. It's about simple competition and frantic brawl-for-alling. I also like the difference in life meters (counting up percentage).
If Nintendo was going to make a 2D fighting franchise as someone mentioned above I'd like them to do it without any mascots in it, which is the real issue here. Their intellectual property well has been tapped. I agree wholeheartedly with that, and I guess that carries over to Smash Bros for that same reason, but for a game as well put together when you have friends over as it is I'm still surprised at all the hate.
"If you had watched the "We experience the Wii" live streaming event that Gamespot did, you'd know they have no business reviewing Wii games."
I wholeheartedly agree...no reviewer should have to waste so much time reviewing thisshit.
Smash Bros. hate has to be based on something completely irrational. Maybe people have friends that do nothing but set up dumbass ways to play the game and it's irritating, but whatever. At least the game facilitates their terrible preferences.
It's really a spectular package all around, very intelligently put together. The fanservice is just frosting, and pretty much irrelevent the better everyone gets at the game.
That being said, I'm a little disappointed in what I've seen of the Wii version...I'm sure it'll be new in all the places that matter, but they really could have done more with the graphics and animation.
