Just because someone doesn't spend much time on the internet doesn't mean that it's more convenient/quicker to boot up your Wii and goto the weather then it is to click internet explorer and goto weather.com. You're a fool if you think otherwise.

And do you really believe that either your mother or your girlfriend would find it more convenient to check the weather on a video game console then on the computer they surely use for at least 5 min every day?

edit: Also what does "h@x00r Xboxes" have to do with anything? I didn't realize having a modded Xbox and checking the weather were mutually exclusive.

I don't know what the fuss is with all the arguing over Wii Weather.... Shit, it is free, it is auxiliary, it has no bearing on anything. Live and let live.

This is a terrible argument, when we have modern conveniences like The Weather Channel, the internet, and cell phones.

Everyone that is complaining about a free weather service is retarded. You just simply don't have to use it. How hard is it to think up this scenario: You're playing a game, you get done playing and before you turn off the console you check your local weather.

Is it really that fucking hard or worth complaining about? Are there other, better options for weather? Sure, but having it there surely doesn't hurt and can be useful on occasion.

I would much rather Nintendo dedicate their resources to building a better online infrastructure, or hell, even putting their games online, rather then giving us a free weather feature. Don't get me wrong, I'll take it, it's free, but it's nether A) convenient, or B) a feature worth spending time to develop imo.

You can play all of the VC games on a pc too, that doesn't make it pointless.
Maybe checking the weather using the Wii is somehow more fun and innovative!
No? Well obviously, but I could see it being useful if you want to check the weather from the living room, and your pc is in another room or on a different floor, or in use by another person.
The fact that it's there, and free, shouldn't be upsetting anyone.
Also, I doubt Wii weather is going to monopolize nintendo's development resources to the detriment of other products or services.

Wii Weather is stupid. Number 1, it's a trivial useless function. And most importantly, it only gives the weather for major cities? So if you're someone living in BFE who would like to use your LOL Wii to check the weather, well boohoo, you can't. And as said, you obviously have internet to get online, and it takes what, 5 seconds to open weather.com and find the weather? Or hell, open up your cell phone and check it on there.

Don't try to defend this stupid crap. It's useless. Rather then waste time developing that shit, Nintendo could have been working on online infrastructure for VC games, which would be something to be excited about.
