No rematch w/GSP for Fitch-bitch, imo. 7 straight decisions (GSP was the only L), he didn't look once to finish the fight w/Saunders. This guy screams and sneers and acts tough when he has no intention of ending anything.
GSP can't be P4P best when he fails to stop fights.
Here's hoping Carwin puts a beating on Lesnar.

I was actually at the UFC fight last night.... I really didn't know one thing from another. My friends are big fans but I am not. From a noob's POV though, Carwin was very impressive and Hardy put up a good fight but didn't have what it takes to beat GSP.

Carwin's footwork really improved, he didn't bull rush Mir, actually the other way around which played into the excellent strategy of pinning Mir against the cage and dirty boxing him Couture-style. The problem for Mir is that Carwin like is two Coutures in one, and you're not supposed to get touched by Shane once, nevertheless 10 times. The first time Carwin dirty boxed (before Mirgaliotta broke them up), I was like "ruh roh"! I think Brock - Carwin comes down to who is the better wrestler, because of Brock gets pinned as he did against Couture, he'd better hope that ball pin head of his can keep him conscious.
Hardy is a tough bastard and I actually like him, though he can be a very unlikeable fighter. The dude stands too upright for a guy who can change levels are quickly and as naturally as GSP. GSP changes levels with the ease that good boxers through jabs.
Toquinho is a monster!! Good God! He's a bad, bad man.

UFC 112 on Saturday via UAE. Yahoo will stream it live for PPV (10am PDT) but don't know if cable affiliates or bars will have it that early.
I'd rather not drop another $45 so soon after 111, but if the local watering hole won't carry it, I'd hate to miss Obi-Wan here destroy Maia.

Set up another MMA fight pick on ESPN.
I won the last one!

Doesn't look like they've got it up for this one. Boo.
gratz!

Today I experienced what it was like to get blocked by my Sifu. My arm's still pretty sore. The man's hands are like stones and he's quick as shit (his brother was Sugar Ray Leonard's sparring partner).
There may be some haters of Kung Fu or TMA, but it's fun and the school I go to doesn't get all cobra kai about teaching it.

I got to see the last three fights... LOL... horrible. A 13 round dance-off.

Say what you will about Anderson's performance, but we've seen it before and we saw it again last night so don't pair him against guys who aren't going to bring a fight. If his opponents don't want to engage him, don't set up that fight. Not just referring to BJJ guys like Leites and Maia, but also Patrick Cote was gunshy as well. I will say that I would be interested to see Anderson fight a guy like Palhares who is stumpy enough and strong enough to perhaps get Anderson in a bad position, maybe caught in one of Toquinho's leglocks. Otherwise, Vitor and Sonnen are intriguing match-ups and I don't think those guys would avoid engaging Anderson.

Watched it live at the bar. I thought the first few minutes of DWTS was fine and entertaining...but Silva had no intention of competing. Even more infuriating was his grandstanding and yelling for Maia to fight. Bloody Elbow had it right in pointing out that, if Silva was interested in competing, he would've continued to throw kicks and picking Maia apart.
Maia gets dinged a bit, too, b/c altho he started swinging Rd 5, he just stood around the first 20min.
UFC deserves some fault for setting Silva against (yet another) jitz-only guy.
But majority of blame falls with the guy with the skills to have ended that fight at any point...and chose to pull a Kalib.
Gratz to Edgar, whose crazy upset is getting no love thx to Anderson.
