That's dumb. NMH went way beyond expectations for them.

I like NMH, but if bringing Paradise stateside means reading "It's a game that loves being a game," in every single goddamn review again, Japan can keep it. What does that even mean?
When I played NMH it felt like it had the same issues MadWorld faced - repetition with a lack of any gameplay hook to keep the redundancy compelling. Although truth be told at least NMH had more going for it gameplay-wise, but everything between bosses felt like a chore that had to be completed before the real treat of the bigger fights. I suppose in some genres, or to some gamers, this is an added plus. To me there's no reason to have my entertainment feel like a menial task to get to the entertainment.
My guess is that, unless they're willing to give a big overhaul to the gameflow, the only difference NMH360 will have are better graphics and a more traditional control scheme. These may mask the repetitive gameplay at first, but I doubt it'll be better purely for minor control changes and an aesthetic overhaul.
That said I'm willing to bet people who enjoy Suda-51's games do so for more gamer cred. Every one to this point has style in spades, while being the most cumbersome, long-winded, unfun experiences bookmarked with some pretty amazing encounters. Want to know how to make this remake better? All boss fights, cutscenes, no overworld map, no grunts, none of that. Although I don't think people would pay $60 for 2 hours worth of content...
One of the commenters in the article said that it did better out here than in Japan? So they decide to remake a game for Japan that didn't do great over there, for a system that doesn't sell over there, and no one wants to bring out over here?
That's just silly.
The remake just came in the mail from Gamefly. Anyone else tried it yet?
