What is "this" exacty, dragon quest or games in general? Either way my concern doesn't rest in what the masses will buy, it only concerns what I buy. And of course japanese support matters, I (me and myself) don't give a flying fuck about it though. For the simple reason I wont be buying much of any of it. I fully understand it matters, I just don't care that's why I used "I" think instead of "people" or the masses think. All I care about dealing with DQ is they took a franchise I was starting to like and robbed it of everything that made me like it in the first place. Legions will still buy it I'm sure, but again I'm not concerned with them. Only myself and see no reason to think otherwise.Quote:
Be careful, because you're getting dangerously close to Joust levels of post worthwhile-ness. This isn't about what we personally like or dislike, what our petty biases are. If you truly think Japanese software support doesn't matter for a console, in the overall picture, not just in your little world, you're an absolute idiot.
Can't you go study for an exam and put your budding legal mind to work on something useful? Because this little aside on the nature of opinion SUCKS. Oops, I mean it doesn't really appeal to me, but I could see why someone else might find value in it.
Criticism doesn't being and end at liking something or not. I also like some movies that I know are objectively shit (hi Rocky Horror).
Either way, burgundy's right, because getting into yet another goddamned console war (even in a more generic sense like "handhelds suck" versus "no they don't") is the last thing TNL needs.
Uh, avatar, even the people who hate Dragon Quest VIII admit that it was absolutely gorgeous. The presentation was fantastic.
