Essentially you will be set until you get a high level map, a very high level map. I can destroy everything except the two rare maps I got, level 86 and 87 which have enemies that do high damage and can hit the whole party. It's kind of dumb how they scaled the maps.
Okay, I've been playing this game so much I'm seriously starting to worry that I'm wearing out my DS's D-pad. Last night I got to the (presumably) last boss, it was a piece of cake to get to him, and the pre-last boss bosses were a piece of cake, but I lost. I can probably win easily with some better tactics, I'll try again tonight.

Just did the post-game quest that allows me to fly so now I have a buncha new areas to explore.
I loved it so much after I ate the fruit, then opened my eyes to see Stella. And then her music kicks in!
I've finally been doing the weapons quests. The Ultimate Shield skill is so fucking useful. Automatically blocks a critical hit. Zoma one of the event maps likes to do those every so often, now I've gotten rid of that and can regularly beat him. Hells yeah.
How many hours are you at now? I'm at 110.
107, at this point I pretty much just play when I'm on the can or in a car etc. Grottos are a bit repetitive and I hate most of the quests, though I want to do all the story ones.
vah! that shield skills sounds great. i did the one for swords and...i thought it was kinda lame. very costly and not MUCH more damage than the previous skill. i'm about 97 hours in and on the last dungeon. i have no idea why those bosses came back to fight you, though. they seemed super weak.
I got the shield skill before I finished the main game. It's great for my Priest so I don't ever have to worry about her getting hit with a huge crit and dying in one turn.
I've slowed way down on this, I'm at about 135 hours and I finished the main story at about 110. Still a lot of fun in short bursts.
