Any fool who has both a PS3 and a 360 and buys multiplatform games on the PS3 is a retard. 360 version FTW here. GRAW is still one of my favorite 360 games, and I'm sure I'll be playing it again for this upcoming release.

There's a GRAW2 trailer up on Live now. Looks good.
Maybe it's deeper, but ubisoft games are so damn buggy and that's my problem with them. Rainbow Six Vegas for instance, it's just crazy the amount of bugs in that game that they have to patch!:td: If Ubisoft would release a game that actually ran smooth on launch I'd be willing to dish out $60 every game they released, but it never seems to happen. They are all about the almighty dollar. Pumping these games out year after year they are so quick to abandon the probolems shortly after launch because they are too busy worried about the next game. I played the demo last night. Its the same exact game as the first, but with better drone functionality- you can actually remote pilot looking through its onboard camera. I am getting a bit tired of shooting Mexicans, though...

eh..same stuff but I have no real problem with that. The graphics were unimpressive but thats more of the case of the level they chose as I'm sure the city levels will look MUCH better than a boring desert/mountainside. I wish it had a overhead map to instruct each member of your team individually ala the pc GRAW (which I liked as much as the 360 version..if not more because of the planning) but the enhanced drone stuff is good.
After GRAW, Gears of War, Splinter Cell, Vegas..etc..I'm a bit tired of military stuff. I'll get this game when its at a reduced price.
If you loved GRAW, I don't see how you could be dissapointed in GRAW 2. The demo was preety sweet, and I can't wait to beat this game on hard.

I thoroughly enjoyed the campaign mode of GRAW and agree that a co op story mode would have made the game that much better. The multiplayer was solid but not something I spent a great deal of time playing. The bottom line is that the campaign mode was challenging, realistic, and fun enough to keep me interested in playing through it on both difficulties. I anticipate GRAW 2 to be the same. I am hoping that they improve the multiplayer and co op modes to some degree but I will definitely be purchasing this at some point regardless.
Anyone picking this up this week? I had a great time with last year's model, and I hear the multiplayer experience and new maps are much improved. Oh, and it's $34.95 at Fry's, starting today.

UbiSoft's achievement choices made this a rental for me. I'm not supporting games with nearly entirely multiplayer achievements. I can't wait to find out that playing on the hardest difficulty doesn't give you the two easier levels' achievements on top of it.

I'm loving this game! I think the simple fact that you can direct any team elements from their POV is a major step up from the original GRAW or any other tactical shooters for that matter. This offers the precise tactical flexibility you should normally have in today's networked battlefield; your maneuvering options should not be limited to just what the commander can see. Now if they would only offer maps that offers more approach than just two obvious flanking paths it'd be the perfect game! But i'm just nitpicking, it's still an awesome game IMO.

Crosscom briefings during the opening intro have live actors instead of prerendered ones like in gameplay. Did anyone else noticed? I think they originally were going to have live actors but changed to models for whatever reason halfway.

GRAW2 shines, I didn't feel the next-gen experience until I played this. I got nothing bad to say about this game, in fact. Just check out the GRAW2 dev diary - the smoke, fires and light FX are jawdropping:
Vegas is rumoured to be fun in multiplayer, I personally hated the game. Blurry graphics, horrible textures, dumbed down gameplay. If you liked the previous R6 games, then you might wan't to stay clear of this one. It's more FPS than tactical.

MechDeus: No, I guess not, I should probably answer your post in the old thread, but I have been real busy. I may not be clear in my definition of tac-sim, or the definition may have changed over time. The R6 series has been dumbed down beyond my liking though. I admit the movie you just posted makes the game look fun. That was just not my hands-on experience, sadly.
Vegas is definitely better than GRAW, in both single-player and multi, though its presentation isn't as sleek.
just tried out the demo on PSN. i have never really been into any of the Clancy games besides Splinter Cell because they have always seemed to goddamned complicated for their own good. too many buttons, then you throw in having to baby sit 3 other AI characters. the single players certainly isn't for me but i can imagine the multiplayer being a friggin blast.
I loved the game for 360. Single player is really intense and the coop missions are fun, but achievements were the main reason we all played through them. Single player is worth it though IMO.Quote:

I don't know if it is just me but the aiming is alittle off in this game (at least in multiplayer). The frame rate isn't very good either, especially compared to COD4. I will try it again to see if I can get used to it.
