I had been working as a computer technician for the past 2 years or so and Wednesday it finally came down to the "we need to talk" stage of my job.
"There isn't a whole lot going on blah blah I need to cut costs blah blah As of today you're done blah I'm sorry etc. blah."

Funny coincidence- my girlfriend was fired today as well. She's pretty upset about it (rightfully so).
The really asshole thing about it was that her office had their company dinner this past Tuesday, she got a bonus check and a nice card telling her what a good job she's been doing and how there were exciting things due to come in 2007.
Right in the holiday season as well. Cocksuckers.
