Alright, having just recently learned that I'm going to Arizona to be with family for Christmas, I'm in a crunch to figure out what sort of gifts to buy. And while I'm starting this thread more for myself, I figure there's got to be a lot of TNLers in a similar position--in need of Christmas gift ideas, fast.
So what are some gifts you're getting for others that you're proud of? Things that come off as a really good idea? Preferrably in the $25-50 range. I think a good collection of gift ideas could be useful for me and others.
My own contribution:
Last year I bought a six-month subscription to Netflix for my dad and step mom. They had recently adopted a baby and every time I asked them about new movies they said that they could never go out to see them 'cause of the baby. The Netflix was a perfect gift--after the gift subscription ran out they kept it going because it worked out so well.
This year, I'm planning on getting my cousin a $20 Wii Points Card--perfect price, and it comes off a bit better than a gift card. Hopefully I can find one in stores, though--I went to six GameStop/EBs last week before finding one for myself (before I came up with the brilliant idea to give it as a gift).
