Capcom vs. Konami
Inspired by the Nintendo vs. Sega, I decided to do a similar poll, only with two of the biggest gaming giants since the NES-era: Capcom and Konami. It's a really hard choice actually. While Capcom may have created some of my all-time favorites such as Mega Man, Bionic Commando and Strider to name a few, I always prefered Konami since they don't over-exploit their franchises as much as Capcom does. Not to mention Konami actually supported the N64 (as opposed to simply porting a couple of PS1 games).
On the other hand, Konami did sell themselves out quite a bit during the past couple of years, what with their deal with Universal Studios and their constant Bemani games. And almost all of Capcom's games were released in America with only a few noticeable exceptions (like Rockman & Forte), while most of Konami's best games are still Japanese-exclusives (such as the Goemon games, Parodius, Twin Bee, Dracula X and Solid Snake to name a few). So it's a really hard choice.

Capcom in both quantity and quality. Konami is a mixed bag, but I like most Capcoms stuff to some extent.

Sorry Johnny but I'm gonna have to side with Capcom on this one.

Now THIS is a poll. Hard choice to make here.
On the one hand, Capcom got DMC, Strider, the fighting games, the RE series(which I don't really care for), and the Megaman series.
On the other hand, Konami got Castlevania, Contra, Metal Gear, the Bemani series, and some damn fine licensed games.
I'd have to go with Konami. I think Bemani gives them a slight advantage over Capcom.

Very, very hard to choose. Lets not forget Konami's ties to Treasure, there is a great creative wellspring with these guys. I still have to go with Capcom, just because of Street Fighter 2.

Tough but I think of it this way:
Both companies are responsible for a lot of games that I play regularly and have been for years... I've equated Capcom with quality since Mega Man 2 and Konami with quality since Blades of Steel and Contra. Through the past 15+ years neither company has really let me down... Capcom with Street Fighters and Takumi (and other) shooters, Konami with Tokimemo, Dracula and IIDX.
But.
The only Capcom series that annoys the piss out of me is the Bio Hazard series.
Konami, though, is responsible for shit like Silent Hill, DDR, ZOE, and MGS2 (which I'm impartial to but I don't see how it garners all that hype so well)... so, while I may be all with some Konami titles every day of the year, I know that Capcom will always be making something that I will want to play until they close shop... Capcom titles have motivated me to purchase most of the systems that I own.
Capcom.

I'll have to go with Konami on this one. Contra, Castlevania, RKA/Sparkster...

I think that every that publicly voted for Capcom has made real strong points And of course, I can't go against the company that made Son Son.
-
Capcom made Vampire Savior. To me, that's enough. :)

Gotta go with Konami. Their efforts on the PSX and GBA have been great, and they make some killer shmups. I also happen to enjoy DDR. MGS is also my favorite PSX game ever, and i enjoy it far more than anything capcom has done. I'd also take suikoden over BoF anyday.
