"It's no secret that Nintendo is aiming the Wii at a different audience than you. Nintendo wants to appeal to people that don't typically play video games--get over it. The Wii won't be an online gamer heaven like Xbox 360. Wii won't have the morst technically advanced graphics. The Wii will not be what you're asking it to be. Get over it."

You're missing the real point though. It was crap that the Xbox was mostly held back because the PS2 was the lowest common denominator. The gap between the Wii and the 360/PS3 might as well be the difference between the Xbox and a TI-82 for crying out loud. If publishers make devs jump ship because Nintendo is allowing poor Flash-quality games like to come out (and Nintendo fans/non gamers are stupid enough to buy them), then the people with the two good systems are hosed.

With software sales like last year's Xbox 360 sales, I don't think there should be any concern about publishers abandoning the "good systems." Especially with Nintendo's reputation of overshadowing its third parties.

It's true for me. I'm never buying a Wii. I have made up my mind. Nintendo has screwed with me too much. If I buy one, I'm basically telling them it's OK to sit on your ass and undercut the other systems and push out shoddy technology and gameplay.

Yeah....that's what I am hoping for. But it's going to be very tempting to spend 40 cents on development to sell a game for people who don't like games...

Truth. All this bitching isn't making those of us who enjoy the Wii and its games like it any less. It's a complete and utter waste of everyone's time.
