Official Left 4 Dead Thread (Parts 1 & 2)

Man this game gets intense sometimes, towards the end of the demo with the horde we had a tank right as some flipped the switch Dealing with both of em we lose one person, rescue them, then start towards the door when a boomer slimes on one person, we get swarmed but I get into the safe room with one another. Hunter jumps one of our guys, I go out, kill the hunter but not in time to keep him from being knocked down, start reviving him and a smoker pulls me away while the other person gets swarmed by zombies.

Just went to download the demo and it keeps telling me my e-ticket has expired and I need to log in. I do and nothing happens.

Now it says I need to update Steam. Restart Steam to apply update. And......nothing happens. everytime I start Steam now it wants to update but doesn't. Lovely.

Man, Valve really nailed the animation in this one.

They made it so one of the shoulder buttons does a quick 180 turn for you. Problem solved.

Once you get a feel for FPS on a controller and the devs do it well with strong controls, it's really not hard. I actually prefer CoD4 on 360, as well as HL 2. They are really starting to get good with the control schemes and sensitivity. When you've played enough of em, and a situation as you've described comes up, it's not that big of a deal anymore.
I'm also very excited for this game, but will not be getting it for PC, even though my two best IRL friends will be and are begging me to get it so we can play together.

BTW, you know you can plug a 360 controller into your PC, right? Controls just like the 360 version.

It's not me. Their servers are getting hammered from the release of a demo. That's pathetic. That's the point to Steam. Distribution. If you can't do your main point right, why bother?
