It was a good try Joust and Pineapple. That game got fucknasty on that spot, damn. Don't worry about Ramon, he runs his mouth all day. He's like a hungry child, just give him some man gravy and he'll be satisfied.
Devils play at 7 so I might show up again after that. I'd love to play versus more I'm just garbage at vs. for some reason. It always seems like it will be so easy.

I got rid of 1 quite some time ago.
1 is hard to go back to after 2. PARTICULARLY playing as the infected. Spitter/Charger are so much fun. :D
I concur. Jockey is fun as well. And not having melee weapons is a sin.
Shit, going back and playing Half-Life 2, with the same exact model shotgun, and not being able to shove things back with left trigger shutupyoshi is Bullshit.
Jockey needs his pounce time reduced significantly. Like maybe 1 second or something ridiculous. As it stands right now he's the least-fun class to play.
I beat the single player the other day. 2 really is a better game. Looks better. More variety of level design. More bad guys. More weapons.
He's a touch character to use in general, he's very much a support killer. Half of the Infected game is patience and knowing when to attack and how. With him and the Smoker I always hang back and hide until distractions occur. Attacking alone is useless. It's pretty amazing how different the game is on each side of Verses.Quote:

And I'll agree Scavenger is pretty cool, there are definitive strategies to each level that if you don't stick to, you lose REAL bad. I still prefer VS, but I much prefer to play infected even then.
I would love to see the next game have a single player campaign where you play as the infected and attempt to stop the survivors. Playing as a Charger/Spitter/Smoker/Boomer (in that order) is my favorite part of this game.
That being said, I should be on soon, if anyone isn't working they should be playing with me and B-Ri.

Pretty sure that was my firstsurvival round that I've won at all. With TNL anyway. Good job imo.
Ok so ground rules:
Hunters: Shove first shoot later. Same with jockeys. Don't forget as the guy who gets jockeyed to fight back so your teammates can catch up.
Protect the men with gas cans.
If someone gets smoked, stop what you're doing and rescue him. Shoving the tongue separates the hold and leaves the guy free to shoot. You can do that with a can in your hand or whatever. You can throw cans forwards, the spitter is the only infected that can destroy a can. Don't be afraid to drop one for a second to help someone as long as you pick it up quick, unless you're in OT.
EVEN IF YOU ARE HOLDING A CAN you can't just run back to the fucking spot without your team. You can't count on your team to stay with you, shit goes down. Be aware of where you are and if you start pulling away wait for them to catch up. Always, always, always be looking around at your teammates, and if one guy goes down everyone should go to help, not just one guy. If you get separated you have to play in a pair until you hook up again. So if one guy gets smoked, one hunted, and one charged you rescue the nearest/fastest to rescue guy first and then split to get the others. I mean I'm sure you all knows this.
I just can't repeat this enough: always know where your teammates are. In VS modes you really really can't wander off. It's like flying jet planes, you have to move in formation.
Also don't listen to Ramon, he's the "king of the hill" but the second someone gets randomly picked off it's totally your fault and he won't play with you again.
Just stick together and help out when needed. That's all you need to survive.
Also VS over Survival any day.

After you get past the "this guy is an asshole" part he's kinda funny. It's almost more fun to listen to him get mad than it is to win.

I'm not a fan of the reworked Vs. point system. It needed to be changed, but the way they did it doesn't work either.
Finished a campaign and didnt get an achievement. Do you have to do the whole thing in one run? Also, I didnt play all the chapters on the same difficulty.

I love this game. I got the Gnome achievement the other day playing offline with my boyfriend and it was hard (since he kinda sucks, heh) but so epic when we finally got that gnome on the chopper. I am always up for some games of Scavenge if you guys are on!
This game is insane. My crew and I just finished up the first game for the first time and relatively coasted thru it - getting all the campaign achievements. After we played the L4D2 demo it seemed exactly the same as 1. I guess we had no clue what to expect - the difficulty is ramped way up here. We knew something was wrong if someone is already healing up after the first zombies show up.
We only played the Mall campaign so far, but to break it down: Im fighting a tank, a midget jumps on my head, and then the dude trying to save me gets tackled by the charger. Crazy shit! I swear in the first game you only had to deal with 1 or 2 threats at a time and I dont ever rememeber having a tank plus all the other specials at once. So after 2+ hours of pure madness and lots of deaths we finally got that damn nascar fueled up. I felt physically and mentally drained after that shit.
What a great game!
This game punishes those who go off alone and your team can get really fucked up if there are two specials attacking at once.
Yeah the game definetly says stay together or I will hurt you. I need to play the second and third campaigns for achievements, anyone wanna do that or some other mode today?
For some reason people don't like playing the Swamp level. I don't know why, the design of it is really awesome.
I enjoy the swamp level. Dark Carnival is one I don't need to play again.
And yes, I'm sick and home and resting and I want to play l4d whenever someone wants to. Until 8.
ps it's almost as if L4D1 was just training: a simulation to prepare you for the true zombie apocalypse that is L4D2.
I think they can do even better too, but I'll tell you what, with the new infected, versus and SCAVENGE modes are way more fun than 1 ever was. Scavenge is awesome, my new fav. way to play. It has that quick-game addiction that all the best multi games seem to have.

Patch for the 360 version is also being worked on, but no date given.
"The Passing" DLC is coming in "late March". Valve has also said that they have new DLC coming for the original L4D sometime after "The Passing" is released.
