Mentioning Defcon for best audio design really is an interesting choice. I don't entirely disagree. The minimal approach is quite creepy.

I have the 360 version of the game. Yeah, skydiving and seeing all all those islands around you is pretty cool. But the graphics weren't anything special, the character designs and models were just plain ugly and there really wasn't anything filling up those islands other than lots and lots of trees and some bland villages. Best visual design should mean a little more than, "it's big"Quote:
Just Cause, especially on 360, looks freaking amazing. The engine is nuts, I've never seen environments that big, and the air sequences are awe-inducing. The game itself left me kinda flat, but there wre a ton of neat ideas in it.
Can someone please explain the difference between developers and publishers? I'm thinking developers actually create the games while the publishers act like PR agents. Am I getting this right?
