Captain EO was awesome. Space Moutain was cool, but I loved all the high-tech spaceship-like hallways you had to walk through to get on it even more. Nothing else was all that memorable. Universal Studios was/is much cooler.

When I lived in Irvine I was about 15 minutes from DLand. I used to go, no joke, about 10+ times per year. It seemed like every friend had their birthday in Anahiem, so I went to that place way too fucking much. And yes, noone cares about it because it sucks. Universal Studios is way, way better.

I spent hours upon hours in that Innoventions area playing the Sega stuff there. In '96, they also had N64 stuff up as well, which was pretty weird, since it was right next to the Sega displays.

I'm surprised Chux hasn't skeeted all over this thread yet.

1) Magic Kingdom - Ok to good. Around Christmas is really the best time to go to the park. Very short wait times for things like space mountain or splash mountain. Space mountain still kicks butt. Splash mountain is very odd for anyone actually from Mississippi. The Arcade around tomorrow land was good. It had some classic games and a few Japanese rarities like the Gradius rail shooter. Pirates of the Caribbean is weird now because the Jack robot looks like a real human being.

I was expecting it to be bigger.

The week before christmas is really the BEST time out of the year to go, most rides are walkons. I played the Gradius Rail shooter you're talking about in the Tomorrowland arcade, also DDR Disney Mix. If you go here and you still feel like an adult walk back out, it's not for you. The first time I EVER went was when I was 21, I was skeptical thought it would be garbage, but me and my GF went and we lost track of date/time, the outside world. What a vacation should be.

If you're looking for rides in Epcot, you're going to be disappointed. Last trip we stayed at the Beach Club so we were able to walk to the World's Showcase, and it was during the International Food and Wine Festival. So we walked along the showcase getting snacks from all over the world. Mitsukoshi Teppanyaki is a nice Hibachi place, but nothing special. This is one of the more informative parks, as opposed to MK and MGM. Mission Space, and Mission Space Race are a lot of fun, Test Track is alright, then you have the Seas with Nemo and Friends (Formerly known as the Living Seas, it was the largest man made salt water aquarium) Then you have shit for learning, like the circlevision jones, and Living with the Land. We took a tour of the Land for like $10 and you learn about their Hydroponics and how they work with NASA to make food growing solutions for space flight.

You completely skipped the Animal Kingdom which is half zoo, half theme park. The big deal here is Conservation, and living with Nature. Other than that, it has Dinosaur which is a clone of the Indiana Jones Ride Vehicle that takes you through the past to find a dino, etc etc. It's rough, it's dark, it's fun hearing kids scream on it. Along with Expedition Everest which is a great Roller Coaster that goes forwards and backwards through a mineshaft on Mount Everest with several encounters with maybe the largest Animatronic I've ever seen. Lots of fun.

They're only gonna sell what's popular. There is a place called Villains in Vogue in MGM that has Villains, and NBX stuff, which it sounds like you should have gone to. As for PI, you have to go at night, then it's packed. We usually go to the Comedy Warehouse, it's a fun improv place but I can't speak for the other clubs. It sounds like you didn't get to the West Side where La Nouba (Cirque) and Disney Quest (The 5 Story Arcade) were.

You one of the best rides on property by skipping out on ToT. RnRC is good, Star Tours is fun the first few times, but MGM is about shows, of course you have to be the target audience but whatever. There is fantasmic, their night time spectacular, the Beauty and the Beast stage show, Who Wants to Be A Millionaire (I got in the hot seat, got to 4 questions away from the mil) Lights Motors Action Stunt Spectacular, the fucking POWER RANGERS, etc.
There is also the great movie ride, and the backlot tour that shows you some stuff about special effects in movies and stuff.


The place is only as good as you let it be. We've been going twice a year for the past 3 years and there is still shit we haven't done. In October we went on the Disney Cruise Line for 4 nights and it was fucking Radtastic.

Anybody wanna know anything else?

After christmas, when people start getting to the park, everything gets crazy. Apprently, since they start doing the holiday celebrations in the last week of November, the first two weeks of December are really the best time to go.

I had a blast but I was really stuck with family the whole time. Sorry buttcheeks, we got there on Christmas Eve and I didn't have an hour to myself really. NEXT trip down I'll be by myself and I'll be able to do whatever shit I want sans family really. Pleasure Island is mostly garbage but the Adventure Club or Explorer's Club or whatever is awesome. A lot of shows/animatronics/animations/interactive/raunchy shit with tons and tons of liquor everywhere.

MGM used to be my favourite park but now it's Epcot because I can get so fucking trashed. Animal Kingdom brews their own beer on property that is fucking delicious though, and you can't get it anywhere else. I was trashed there at 10:30 am on December 26th. Pirates was closed so I didn't get to see Jack. I saw every single christmas event and new attraction/show however. The Osborne lights are incredible. I felt like a kid again, for real. And I think I cried a bit.

The Everest animatronic is the largest in Disney and it's over 30 feet tall, I believe.
A gopher in Splash Mountain recites the letters "LSU", the school which one of the imagineers of the ride graduated from.
My step-uncle, who is my Disney in, used to act in the shows. He was Doug in the Doug show and also the Hunchback in the Hunchback show. He's gay. He's dated 5 Prince Charmings (From shows/parades) and was disappointed to learn that none of them were really that charming. He also dated the accordion player from Germany's stage show. So I have a pretty bizarre perspective on Disney.

He was telling me about the awesome "Year of a million dreams" sweepstakes prizes you can win by just going to the park. Here are some:

You will be walking in the park when an imagineer will come up to you. He will tell you that they have been looking for someone to lead the Spectromagic parade, and would you please be the grand marshall that evening? Then you get to actually lead the fucking parade. After that's finished, they ask you if you can lead the parades in Tokyo, Europe, LA....every disney park in the world, and then send you on a two week all exepenses paid journey around the world to all the resorts and let you lead a bunch of parades there.

Sometimes you'll win free fastpasses to the front of every line. Not ordinary fastpasses, but literally passes that get you on immeidately. Even going in front of cripples and shit.

My favourite: You arrive and check into your hotel but the front desk clerk says, "Oh, I'm sorry but your room just isn't ready yet. We overbooked you see and it won't be ready until tomorrow. I'm terribly sorry. In the meantime would you mind terribly if you stayed overnight in Cinderella's castle?" See, they've built a ridiculous guest suite in the castle with hot tv's and internet and shit and even comes with a goddamn butler. You can chill there and watch the fireworks. From the goddamn castle. That's some hot shit.

Next time I go down I'm going by myself or with one friend and I can get one or two of you in for free. I'll let you all know.

yeah you let me know. the place is really about who you go with. My sisters can be kind of a drag. They lack many of my good personality traits ( XD I do have some, you jackasses).
