I watched Raiders and Temple last night.
I don't know what the original set had as far as features, but I'd call these new ones anything but "special".
There's no commentary.
There is a 5-10 "introduction". There is some nice behind the scenes stuff mentioned, but it's more about Speilberg and Lucas fellating each other.
Raiders has a "how we made the face melt" featurette, Temple has a "how we did the mine cart chase" featurette.
They both have a Lego Indiana demo.
Big fucking deal.

It is. I looked at the new DVDs in Best Buy yesterday...the "special features" on each one amount to a few storyboards, one minor featurette, and a Lego Indy preview. Fuck these discs.

You can see this even in the trailers. This is exactly what I was afraid of. Oh shit, it's the STAR WARS TREATMENT, except at least the movie is good.

My excitement is down to zero. I'm looking more forward to the marathon of Indy movies we're watching the day before we see this.

goddamn, chill out. Its just one review.

Nah but look at all my posts leading up to that one...I wasn't that stoked to begin with. Letting nostalgia get me ramped up for over the hill sequels has played itself out in my book.

Rottentomatoes has all kinds of positive reviews. Ebert even liked it giving it
3 1/2 stars. Pretty much said if you liked the others you will like this. If you didnt like the others you wont.

Can't wait!
