Worse, because one is your fault and one is a cruel and spiteful god's.
Or your whore, alcoholic mother's.

I haven't read this thread for over a week and haven't read anything about the movie since it came out at Cannes mainly because, well, why not?
Anyway, I'm seeing this tonight at 12:05 at the Odeon Leicester Square, should be cool.
Just got in from this. Not bad at all!
But.
Do you think maybe there could have been another cartoon gopher sequence? Maybe after the credits? Fuck.
Micro Review Time!
Pros!
-GREAT swashbuckling sequence
-Indy kicks ass, and it is great.
-John Fuckin' Hurt! Awesome!
-LeBouf wasn't bad at all, good dialouge with him and Indy
-Marion still has a great smile
-Jeep scene was the highlight of the movie
-Scorpions!
-Alien Skull plotline wasn't as bad as I thought it would be
-Seeing the Ark again briefly was cute
Cons!
-Go to hell, Cartoon Gophers
-Aside from "let's finish up the Marion plotline", there was no necessity for this sequel to exist. Crusade finished off the series.
-The nods to the 50's seemed pretty labored
-Oh look, monkey friends! Fuck!
-This flick is going to look like it was made PRECISELY in 2008 ten years from now
-Certain bits had a really bad "Sky Captain"/FX Not Quite Selling It vibe
-Particle Effects are starting to really grate on my nerves a bit, not specific to this movie, but they always look identical in everything.
Time to move on to the 'next gen' of particle design already.
All in all, good movie, worth seeing, won't replace the original three though. Trilogy plus one?
I'd compare it to getting a followup novel as a film, if that makes sense.
 Ugh.
This was terrible.
This was pretty much a combination of some great action pieces, some competent exposition and some absolutely cringe-inducing scenes.
So, about on par with Temple of Doom. That didn't have anything as ridiculous as the gophers, but this didn't have anything as teeth-gratingly irritating as Willie.
Just saw it and I really enjoyed it. While not the best Indy movie it was better on whole than Temple and better in most parts than Crusade. Anyone who thinks that this should be or is going to be on the same level as Raiders is just fooling themselves. Yea there is questionable CG in it but go back and look at Raiders and Temple there are all kinds of horrible matte paintings and blue screen shots all throughout those. (e.g. Indy,Willie and Short Round climbing the side of the cliff after escaping the flooded mine tunnel in Temple just looks completely fake and theres nothing that bad in Kingdom) There were a couple of really lame obviously Lucas imbued parts in it, the main one involving Shia and vines but I really enjoyed it overall though and will be seeing it again.
