Finished Portal and had a great time. Makes you think in a completely different way, only real downer is that I would have liked some more levels.
Do you have to do something special to get the Heartbreaker achievement? It just says finish the game but it never gave it to me. And where's the best place to do the 300 foot jump?
Finished up Mass Effect and did it as a goody goody male soldier. Next time its a renegade, biotic bitch and I'll play at the highest difficulty available. Good game and I can't wait for the sequel. I didn't care much for all those explorable planet missions since they all look the same and money is worthless in the game. The only thing I bought were all the capacity upgrades for the grenades, medicine..etc. I think I had 6 million+ bucks when I finished the game.
I didn't get any of those stick with one race as an ally achievements even though I used Wrex and Kaiden for almost the entire game. I don't get those achievements at all. I guess you must use them for every single misslon?
After watching the new trailers, beat Bionic Commando NES. Havent played that in years. The music is so good in that game. One of the coolest endings ever too. I read in an interview after initially showing the new Bionic Commando, theyve already made some changes due to fan complaints. Hopefully they fix up the generic looking main character design.
Im on an old Dragon Quest/Warrior kick now. After owning Dragon warrior 4 for some 15+ years and barely touching it, Im surprised how well-made it is playing it today. I might even buy a DS if those DQ remakes make it to the US.
You need to do all the side missions with the same squad, and you should get the achievement near the end of the game.Quote:

Yeah, to get the race ally achievements you have to use them for almost all of the side missions and all of the regular missions.
I'm working on sidequests in my second run through now, on Hardcore and I must say starting a fresh character on Hardcore is tough. Enemies kick my ass left and right.
I may not complete the run though if I decide to go get Lost Odyssey this weekend.

While the quality takes a significant dip in worlds 6 through 8, it's still my favorite PM to date. The music during the Giant Killer Mario parts (pictured above) is one of the greatest things Nintendo's ever done.

Beat Safecracker last night.
I haven't played a non-LucasArts adventure game since, like, the first Gabriel Knight. This was cool, though. Mostly fun puzzles and pretty visuals. Kinda made me think that I could tolerate Myst in another life. I like the way it physically prints out the will, but I don't have a printer. ;_;
Did you watch that little Behind the Scenes clip at the end? (I think it was in the final safe, or a secret safe or something.) I thought that was a nice touch. The 2006 edition is the same formula, only prettier.
