Finished Black (XB) on Black Ops. Loved every second. Here's hoping the sequel has co-op and multi.
Finished Gears on Insane, both single and co-op. I've never beaten a game so many times (five) this soon after its release. I think it could use some finesse and real honest-to-god boss battles, but other than that, no complaints.
Next: all the Resident Evils, in order. Been meaning to do that for a while, actually.

Yeah, it looks like a terrible shovelware game. Bad buttrock plays on the main menu as you look at shots of guns and ammo with a transparent US flag waving over them. It's pretty funny, actually. Great game, though.
It's almost as if Virtua Cop, Time Crisis, and other lightgun shooters were made into a normal first person shooter. You've always got your shield to hop behind and protect you in any single direction. The enemies hang upside down from the ceiling as they shoot at you. They jump out of nowhere and try to hatchet your face. They get behind big old riot shields and pop out from behind them to fire at you. They take hostages by the neck, dieing in amusing slow-motion ways when you get them cornered enough. You shoot moltov cocktails and meat cleavers out of the air. The game seems to be way more about shooting the living shit out of everything than actually moving and avoiding fire, and it pulls it off pretty well.
There are other neat things, like the side missions and the little specialty tasks for teammates. The medals are fun to go for (I think I got the headshot award on every mission), too.
Really nice surprise.
I'm still hoping it gets a North American release(not likely). If not, I'll eventually mod my PS2 and get the Euro version.Quote:
