Is it possible to make Dreamcast Component Cables?

I was reading that the Dreamcast is able to output in true 480p, which for it's time was really impressive. So is it possible to make component cables for the DC? Or can you use a combination of this...

Probably would have to split that VGA connection up, and it'd be pretty messy. The 480p was only possible in VGA if that wasn't obvious.

Why not just use a VGA cable? Most HD-TVs have VGA inputs on them. Or plug it into a monitor.

There are a lot of non-HDTVs that support component inputs and even at standard def it still makes a big difference.

Exactly. Also, I don't know about this "Most HD-TVs have VGA inputs on them." I know mine doesn't, though I'd love it if it did. As a result, my DC languishes with games like Illbleed unplayed because I can't/won't go back to S-Video, and don't like playing my console games on my computer monitor.

Same here, my HDTV does not have VGA.... I wish it did too.

Yea, I wouldn't have any problem if I could just do that.

I believe you'd need a VGA to Component transcoder for this to work. May not be too cheap.

So that cable isn't enough to convert vga to component?

I'm pretty sure it isn't.
