Claremont needs to pretend he died in the 80's.
It seems mainly true. Has he had a good story since comics were $1.99?
The correct phrasing of that question is- Has he had a good story? He's great at starting storylines, but can't end them to save his life. Sure, there might be a last issue in a mini-series or something, but there's always that feeling that nothing was resolved. I'm also sick to death of his writing style, and the way all his characters sound roughly the same.

It's funny, I came into X-Men just after he left and also the Image guys left. I went back and read some of his stories and thought "Wow, why is everyone explaining their powers every three minutes and talking like a bad comic boo-- OH."
Though I do admit to liking his X-Treme X-Men book, lame title aside.
