Did you empty the trash after moving the files there?
No, but I don't think that would affect how much space is left on my stick when I put it back in my camera. The camera reads no pictures, but no space either.Quote:

Well your problem's fixed. Empty the trash. If you plug it in, you'll see all the files are still sitting in the trash, meaning they're still all on the stick but in a hidden directory.Quote:

Every OS does this. Stuff in Recycle Bin or Trash still takes up space until you empty your trash. If you wanted an OS to clean off the space on your thumb drive, it would require the OS to move the data to your main hard drive, which may not have space for it, and it would take a lot of time for some people with slow computers or external drives. Then if you wanted to recover it, it'd have to copy back.Quote:
