So, possible moron question, but my new iMac is going to be showing up tomorrow. If I want the machine to bet ready for running dual-boot (or Parallels or whatever) once I get to the point of having a copy of WinXP, what do I need to do? Do I have to format my hard drive / create a partition right off of the bat, or can Boot Camp create a partition after the fact?
My main question is, once I get the iMac, should I at that point get the machine set up for dual boot, or can I start loading my crap onto it and worry about that later?
Boot Camp tries to partition your drive without defragging first, which means if you have files scattered around all over the place, it'll just leave them there and say "sorry, you don't have room for this" even if you do. 3rd party defrag programs will clean it up for you.
Anyway, just use your fucking computer and stop worrying about trivial shit.

Is anyone running Vista on their macbook pro? I need to use windows and I'm wondering if I should buy XP or Vista (I use vista at work and have no qualms with it). My macbook is 2.4ghz with 2gb ram.
Yes. I can't imagine why this would be on your mind at all. You can partition at any time, move files at any time, and do whatever the fuck you want at any time. Are you expecting a new Boot Camp partition to suddenly put new pictures of cocks in your iPhoto or something?
