I didn't mean to write off iPhone as a "mom-phone." I think Android and Apple, despite being in direct competition, have very different goals. Google doesn't have a horse in the hardware race, they're more concerned with making an experience that is versatile and can work on a broad range of hardware, and having that experience be both customizable, while having a common experience when running software. It's very different than Apple's approach. They make their money different ways.
