My wife gets up at 3am for work, so she's usually asleep around 7-8pm. We get plenty of QT on days off & weekends. I work full-time and am in grad school, but I can get a couple hours in most nights.

I don't game nearly as much as I used to, though. The days of staying up till 2-3am are behind me. I'm too old and need my beauty sleep.

Agreed. I need at least 8-9 hours of sleep a night. I will stay up past 2 am on rare cases when I'm with friends, or busy doing something, but that's it.

I spend way more time BSing on msg boards about games than I do playing them, sad but true.

I'd stay in retail, but there are just too many little shitting things I wouldn't want to deal with as I moved up the ladder. I like the variety of tasks and the unstable weird hours. Hell, I flunked out of high school thanks to not doing any assignments for three years and still have yet to touch a college but I still got out of retail. I'm now doing things I enjoy, working in a nice environment, have a lot of flexibility, and get paid better. And I get to post at TNL while I'm here, like right now.

Personally, I don't think that is possible. Unless we have a different opinion on what "well" means.

I can focus on a job, and do a good job at it, but not care if something goes wrong.

Just like you don't really love the women you sleep with.

I care about my jobs as I see my task as a (sometimes) reflection of myself. If I don't care about what I'm doing, why the fuck am I doing it? That's my thinking, anyway. Of course, there comes a point when you get so worn down you find yourself just going through the motions.
