What about wives?
I play very few games during most of the year as I get pretty busy. My "catch up" time is whenever I have a vacation or if I get sick.
Vacation at home with nothing else to do but play games is always the best. Much better than a beach somewhere, for me anyway...
I have both and then some, buddy.
I just have a major gripe with it only because such a negative stigma is applied to us when we not only have lives, but many of us have families and hold important jobs. It's 2007, you'd think that shit would die but it doesn't. People will still say it as if it's true.
If you actually have no life and no women, video games aren't your biggest problem. Shed the nerd-skin and be a social butterfly. Works for all of us.
I work from home and have a wife who works long hours. So, yeah...works out to plenty of game time for me.
I should have quoted Beefy Hits's post. I totally agreed with your post, and what I said was directed at Beefy Hits. (The line about "Real gamers don't have lives or girlfriends. That's how.") What I posted was adding onto your post, not contradicting it. Sorry bro, misunderstanding.
And I'm not backpedaling here, this post is coming from a guy with a life and a woman he's going to marry in 3 months. :)
I work 5 days a week, but manage at least 2 hours a night playing games. Except when I have 24 to watch. Weekends I generally have all the time I need.
Wifey is usually buried in her DS, and having a significant other who plays games helps immensely.
This board, as the case with other video game boards, has people who talk about games more than they play them. I am guilty myself.
