Theer was a follow up on the story.
A nurse called in before the contest & warned the DJ's that this can kill a person.
Their exact response was

I blame Nintendo for this. Had they stuck with the nickname Revolution, or named the console something other than a bodily function, this radio station wouldn't have come up with a retarded contest like this. Instead they would have come up with some other retarded contest not as likely to induce death.
