You're going to have an easier time getting non-fans to watch a show called Game of Thrones than something called A Song of Ice and Fire so there's that. As for subtitles, it's very likely that they're going to play around with the whole one book = one season thing.

I would say that an hour long commercial free show on a network based on movies, that is produced with better quality than many theatrical movies, is about the closest thing to a movie that isn't a movie. If there was anything that could have pulled off a main title: subtitle change season by season it would have been something like this show on this channel with those books and titles as the basis.
It's not like I was saying the second season of Lost should have just been called Island, or some shit. I'm also not saying Game of Thrones isn't a totally fine title for the whole series. It just would have been kind of neat, in a no big deal way, if each season had been a different name as a subtitle; kind of the same way game expansions or movie sequels get new subtitles and interest or intrigue you sometimes.
Who cares about the name, I don't think this series will get past season 3 anyway. Well, I am a pessimist when it comes to HBO.

While I am excited for this season, the series (book) have really lost me. I am about halfway through A Dance with Dragons and if I don't read another page, I couldn't care less. Other than Jon Snow's POV, the rest are just so tedious. The new POVs aren't very interesting and the existing ones just drag on and on. Just get to the point George.

Theon's chapters are probably my favorite. ADWD and AFFC might not be as good as earlier books (outside of a few plot points) but I still like them. The SOIAF universe is fascinating.

I don't mind the supernatural elements, but the ending to the last episode was dumb. I really hate birthing scenes. Tyrion continues to become more awesome, and Joffrey more loathsome. Do I ever hate that character.

Dani's storyline is so boring (bookwise).
Is it just me, or is this season changing more of the story line from the books? It seems like this season has added a ton of scenes already that just never happen in the books. I also don't understand why they're trying to force a storyline and character development on the character of Ros.
They added a bunch of scenes last season too, but this season is doing it more - just to give characters something to do.
Littlefinger went to Renly's camp so Jamie will actually have a reason to be in this season. Robb met Jeyne earlier and Arya becomes Tywin's servant for the same reason.
They really cut a lot of Arya's story and the development of the Night Watch recruits. They pretty much just left King's Landing and are already at Harrenhal.
