There is nothing wrong with simplicity though. Run DMC (and a truly massive list of 80s greats) keep it super simple and they'll still rap M&M's face off.

The problem with that guy though is that white people listen to him and think what he's doing is complex and special.

I enjoy Relapse but this Green Day album is a really fun listen. I'm listening to it for the fifth time in four days right now. It's well put together and not poppy.

Ever since Shiny Toy Guns became somewhat mainstream, they've been trying to find new sounds for every song they write. It makes their albums incoherent and rough to listen to straight through. They're fun as hell live, though.

As I was saying earlier, it's a really fucking good album.

I am continuing with the Sabbath marathon.

I've been listening to a lot of Hawkwind lately. Great shit. I've never been too into the more psychedelic parts, but it's to be expected from most great 70's stuff.

That's like my little brother's favorite band right there. Not my cup of tea though.
