Cleaning A Super Nintendo Cartridge

What's a good way to clean a Super Nintendo cartridge? I just bought Secret of Mana for SNES and it keeps glitching up on me. By glitching I mean it has frozen up a few times and the music keeps fucking up during gameplay. I'm pretty sure it's NOT my SNES becuase I played Tetris Attack (a classic btw) and it sounds/works fine. This motherfucker better start working right because I paid a good amount of money for it. Would using a Q-Tip and rubbing alcohol work if I just rubbed it alongside the chip part? If this is an effective method let me know how to clean it so I don't fuck the game up, though I might still be able to return it...

Any other suggestions would be most appreciated. Thanks lads!

Hmmm.....somehow I doubt that.

No, it really does! It releases the static electricity that the diodes build up over time and the dust and grime just falls off! You might want to try boiling it in acetone if that doesn't work.

Try the Q-tips & alcohol. Never had any problems with SNES games but that did the trick for NES games back in the day.
