Are we a bunch of Sony haters?

Now don't come off at me like I love Sony and all, but I want to know are we a bunch of Sony haters. I'm not a big fan of Sony, but I own their products. I've had walkmans and sony tvs and shit like that. When it comes to the playstation I chose that over a saturn even tho I was a pure genesis die hard. I've had my problems with my playstation over the years tho I still own my original. I own more ps1 and ps2 games than any other system I own and I have all the major systems, minus the Xbox. The PS3 has come out and I've seen nothing but hate on the boards coming from and including myself. I do feel that the 360 is just a better system and at the time being has better games and I hope they continue to have better games that the ps3 this generation. I keep wanting to see all of sony's exclusive titles like MGS 4 and DMC 4 to come out on 360 and I can't understand why I feel this way if I supported Sony so strongly during the last two generations. Every time I see another title like VF5 getting a release on the 360 I feel happy. Why is it that we want to see them fail? I can't remember this same reaction with Nintendo. And Nintendo is as cocky or not more cocky than Sony.

Is it the 600 dollar price point? I do want a ps3 because I know that there will be games that are released for the system that won't be on 360. I don't wanna pay 600 dollars for a blu-ray player plus.

Is it the representatives of sony that don't care how they sound when they are talking about their competitors? I mean they are they japanese they are cocky when it comes to non japanese things. I've been told that if a gaijin spoke japanese as well as a non japanese they'd be upset and express that with no remorse or care of what anyone thought.

I think for me it has to do with the death of the Dreamcast. The way people looked at the system dismissing it for the ps2 and not even giving it a chance. I couldn't tell you how many arguments I got into defending the DC and for what. I was defending something that already was going to fail and I just didn't know it. You'd think I'd be pissed off more at Sega than Sony.

So what is it that made us Sony Haters? Majority of posters on this forum are jaded and would like to see Sony fail, but why?

No one really cares to see Sony fail, but you might as well laugh at them while they're doing it.

I don't hate Sony. They just keep flubbing up, and their arrogance cost them. I do hate Nintendo right now though. Well, hate is a strong word. I just think they're being lame.

But I want to see them both fail because one console would be good for me. I'm still thinking of getting a PS3, but I'd rather not have to.

Though, I hate their stupid rules for publishers and whatnot. If I really hated them, I probably wouldn't own a PSone, PSX, PS2, and PSP, would I?

I love my Sony TV and I love my PS2. I really want to like the PSP, there are some fantastic games out for it, but I just haven't been able to get into playing the thing for extended periods of time. But they can eat my asshole for the PS3 at that price.

I don't hate Sony, I just find it amazing that Sony managed to actually have a worse third console launch than Nintendo.

I don't think you speak for many others when you say this, whether they'll admit it or not. I do fully believe that your rationale is genuine, mind you, but not everyone is as objective in their trolling.

I'll stop laughing at it when the lineup starts being interesting. And I have no doubt that it eventually will.

It is more fun to hate.
