I don't hate Sony; Sony just seems to hate everyone who bought a PS2.
lol that's a good way to put it.
sony has just been way too arrogant. then they majorly fuck up the ps3 launch, they continue to be arrogant, and they just deserve all the shit they're getting. at this point sony is funnier than watching a comedy show.
the ps3 came out after the 360, so if sony wanted to actually sell any consoles they should've made damn sure to live up to all the bs promises they made. they didn't. once the ps3 has a line-up of actually good games and a lower price tag, then it'll start selling. but sony wants $600 for what is basically a glorified paperweight, and i'm fine with pointing and laughing at them. hell, even their controllers are getting worse instead of better. adding tilt sensoring because they don't want to cough up money for rumble? and psm was talking about how cheap the controllers feel when they hold them. piss-poor customer service and crap products, it's like sony hates its fans.
personally, i do hate sony. i've never found their consoles to be impressive. the hardware just isn't as great as they boast. i knew sony was going to screw up the ps3 launch and i was so happy as i watched them prove me right. they've been making such ridiculously stupid mistakes that i wonder how they ever became such a big-name company. i love my xbox and my 360 and i'd rather have a fun system like the wii than something that ooooh it plays blu-ray.
and blu-ray's probably gonna go the way of betamax. yay sony.
I dont hate sony, in fact i think im one of the only people who still likes their online branch, I dont remember why exactly, but im not as rabidly anti-soe as a lot of gamers. but sony made a lot of arrogent claims not taking microsoft and nintendo seriously in the console and handheld markets. So its kind of funny seeing the cocky guy get taken down by his own ego. Ken Kutaragi has a lot to do with the sony hate.
I just bought a $20 set of Sony headphones the other day and they're really nice. Solid, comfy, and with excellent sound. I've nothing against Sony at all, really.
The PS3 sucks, though.

My TV is outstanding and it is Sony.
I don't hate them either, I also own a ton of SONY branded crap. I'm more put off by Nintendo since the N64 days till recently. I was a huge Sega and Nintendo fanboy but both let me down like crazy (<3 Dreamcast) but now Sony has taken their place since.
PSP let down I'm not sure what the hell I was expecting at this point but I know I didn't feel like I got my monies worth with the PSP and the PS3 looks to be the same. I have no interest in getting it now had you asked me in 2005 I would of told you it was going to be a 1st day purchase.
I wasn't the biggest Xbox fan but I'm enjoying that system (360) more than what Sony has to offer currently. I think eventually if they don't keep dropping the ball it will be a worthy system.
I never liked the gaming end of Sony. The electronics end I love. I still have a Sony Wega from 1996, still works and was an open box buy from Circuit City. I still love it.
The gaming end on the other hand. I'm still waiting for that dinosaur they said the PS1 could do.
You know I woulnt hate sony if they dint make such stupid mistakes and then act as if they were the retroactive replacement for God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. On top of that they have a fan base that extends across all kinds of demographics. And why do they do you ask? Popularity; thats why.
Look. I dont want Sony to go. I like competition. However I want them to just freakin do something worth me not simply tolerating them.
Insert any other companies name at another time at your wish.
