It's mentioned to be by the folks behind Elebits, looks like it from the art style. Apparently the game based around a water character that changes from vapor to ice when you screw around with the temperture.
I like the style of the graphics they remind me of a old SMS, PCE, or NES game.

I don't have much to say but it looks nice, one to keep an eye on.

Not that I'm very impressed with the Wii's outlook at the moment, but I wouldn't call a Konami platformer with good art direction "completely void of promise". This looks much more appealing than those other examples.

This looks to be another cheap ass shitter. Yoshi likes old Konami IPs btw. Castlevania and Gradius are among his favorites. The problem arises when they don't improve.

This actually looks 1/2 way decent, aesthetically.
New IP's with interesting art direction and good gameplay potential are always acceptable, regardless of Gears kicking ass.

So Gears of War looked great, so what? Seriously, I'm glad Gears is an amazing viusal experience but that doesn't make the current-gen offerings any less fun. The only thing Heavy Weapon has over anything on the SNES is amount of sprites on screen at once, plus maybe a fancy effect or two.
Excellent graphics are a nice bonus, but that's it. All I need is "decent" and I'm fine. I realize the definition of what counts as decent varies depending on who you're talking to, but so long as the framerate is smooth and the art direction is fine I just don't care. Gourad-shaded polygons? Bring it!
(Actually, I'd love to see a game with a ridiculously high poly-count using only gourad shading.)

Because I'm playing a video game. Graphics are nice, gameplay is better. Why should I deny myself Katamari Damacy just because the graphics are a chunk-o-rama? Why would I ignore having a blast on Wii Tennis with my family just because it offers a new definition of "plain" in its presentation?
I played a few rounds of Jumping Flash the other week for an article and had a great time reacquainting myself with it. True, I wouldn't pay $50 for first-gen PS1 visuals today, but I still played a few more rounds than necessary just for the fun of it. I'd happily pay $40 for a PS2 version, and complain a bit about $50 but still shell out if it was as good as Jumping Flash 2.
Bascially, I'm paying for the experience. Visuals are part of it, but what I'm doing is more imporant that how it looks. Up to a point, of course.

Katamari doesn't have bad graphics though, it's got a great surreal style to it. Wiisports is obnoxiously ugly though, if you think that's decent your standards are far lower than mine. I don't think realistic automatically equals great, but this and just about every other wii game looks like a dreamcast or psp game. Not to say they can't overcome that with a great sense of style, developers just haven't.

This game seems fairly interesting to me. Although, I have to admit that I was not a fan of Elebits. Elebits had some nice ideas and decent play mechanics, but the total execution of the game was just awful (admittedly, I thought Katamari Damacy was a big steaming pile of shit too though). Elebits is the only game on the Wii that I actually enjoyed less than Excite Truck, so I hope this Dewey game turns out a little better.
If every game had the development time and budget of GoW, they'd all look as good. That being said, there are plenty of new 360 releases that don't look anywhere near as good as GoW.Quote:

Flawed for sure.
This game has laziness on it's side though, even with the frustrating platforming the low-key movement scheme is keeping me plodding through it. If it required the same Wiimote lurching of say koronipa I'd be done with it, as it stands I really like the game world, best third party graphics on the system. *-neo
I waited until I found this really cheap. The Elebits meets Pikmin art style is quite nice but the tilting gameplay is a bit awkward. I like it so far, though. It's nothing super exciting but it does have some charm to it.
