I'm mostly surprised that we have that many people here that have played both games. It's cool to see. I was expecting closer poll results, though.

Played Rondo but never played the third Shinobi, so voting is a big negative for me.
I recently picked up a copy of Shinobi III on Super Clearance when Rhino VG went under so Ill have to give it a try. It looks awesome, and to garner a poll putting it up against Rondo, it must be.
Great art design? The game looked abominable. Campy 80s-tastic long-hairded musclemen with tiny heads traversing muddy levels with an awkward perspective. The level design was thoroughly mediocre, and the whole game smacks of half-assed. Some cool bosses, but that's about it.
good, and here i thought me saying the same in the best Genny action game thread would have made me look like the only one. i know the Genny couldnt duplicate SNES style visuals, but it was certainly able to do better than what we got with Bloodlines.
ive played and finished both Shinobi 3 and Dracula X. its a hard sell to just pick one. on one hand you have fast paced, very good control and beautiful (for the system) graphics with Shinobi 3, as opposed to great reedbook (i will ALWAYS have a soft sport for SEGA CD and Turbo CD music), cutscenes and just plain bad assness of one of the last great non-metroid Castlevanias.
I never understood the Bloodlines hate either. It's a great game in the CV 1 style. I'll take it any day over CV:IV. Paula Abghoul and Fred Ascare? Are you fucking serious? I really did like CV:IV though as it was a quality addition to the series. I just always though it was WAY over hyped. If Bloodlines had CV:IV graphics this wouldn't ever have been an issue.
