HURRRRRR I'M A DEER
It was just a 18-200mm lens. Nothing fancy. I got pretty close. Maybe 8 feet?
No photos today, but I will heading off to Palm Springs tomorrow for the Palm Springs Photo Festival. Get to have a few portfolio reviews, one of which is the editor of Outdoor Photographer, and will be going to Joshua Tree to hopefully get some great photos.
Taken with my old Nikon D70s with Tamron 18-200mm f3.5-5.6. Not the original image.

Gentlemen -
My parents acquired a D5000 some time ago. I'm interested in getting a zoom lens for it, seeing as how I can indefinitely borrow the camera.
Obviously, it's possible to spend several thousands on a lens. I'm trying to keep it cheap - like $300 maximum. I'll be looking to use it in urban environments. After doing a bit of searching I was thinking about getting something like this - http://www.samsclub.com/sams/shop/pr...23-134644240-2
Is there something else I should get instead? Thanks.
Bunch to share from this past week.
EDIT: TNL wont let me upload anymore, so check them out at my flickr page. http://www.flickr.com/photos/erik_un...7626278425439/
