Yes it was that bad.
Magic crazy fake mother, magic cave, magic wheel. Nothing was explained. Complete hackery abound.
Fuckin' matricide, how does that work?
man... at first i was excited about the episode... a whole show devoted to jacob and MiB... i feel a little dissapointed. I really have enjoyed watching this show throughout.... in particular I thought the character focused episodes from season 2-4 were just fucking excellent television. I convinced my gf to try this show, and she became a fan, watching the dvds all the way through and really getting involved in trying to postulate theories of her own about the show... now she's been just suffering one dissapointment after another this season... Makes me feel like a sucker for getting her involved
I'm bummed... i hope the next two episodes end this show out on an interesting note.
The best parts of Lost were always the characters and their backstories... that's why I loved the first couple of seasons. Ben saved the show for a while, but by now it's just a mess.
Last year I bought seasons 1-5 of this show on Blu-Ray because I have never seen any of them before.
For all the real experts, in hindsight, as objectively as possible, is it worth the time to get into this series? Or should I just get rid of these BRs and forget about it.
In my opinion, no, it's not worth it looking at how horribly it ends.
I like the first three seasons a lot but I'm not sure how much it changes things to know that the show will eventually collapse on itself. The same thing happened to Battlestar Galactica but at least that show had the decency to die quickly.
Still, the first three seasons are excellent. Hell, even the fourth season has some good stuff; Just stop after The Constant since it's all downhill from there.
So: Two and a half seasons are almost entirely worthless. If that's a dealbreaker, return em.
