Plus if you pretend that Jack's plan worked exactly as intended and ignore Jacob's "they're coming" line, the season 5 finale would actually make a narratively satisfying endpoint. Sure a bunch of the mysteries still aren't explained at that point, but with the answers we've ended up getting, that was a good thing.

eh Diff I say give them a watch - you'll find alot there to enjoy, besides, all things considered about the dissapointments of this season we have yet to see how it ends, in two more episodes everyone here will be able to provide a far more thoughful look-back. I still say that seasons 1-4 are just fantastic... plant you in your seat TV. It was ages since a series had been able to do that to me.

I forgot to mention how awesome and terrible it was watching Lost on a big screen with a crowd.
Awesome with the size of the screen and crazy sound system.
Terrible with the crowd reaction and applause when it went to a black screen for a few seconds; normally where a commercial would be. And also waaaaaaaay too much laughter for an episode that's right before the series finale. Right after smokey kills (still not sure if Richard dies, but I can't see him living after the hit he took) Richard, and we see Ben's hilarious WTF reaction as he turns around and walk back into the house, everyone bursts into laughter. I can't blame them because it was lol worthy, but it really takes away from what could be the death of what was suppose to be a really important character.
