Odin Sphere

I have a very hard decision to make regarding this game. Now that my adapter has arrived, do I used the Saturn pad or the Neo Pad on my PS3 to control the upscaled 2D bliss?

Saturn pad of course.
It is the semi sequel to a Saturn game after all.

Excellent point. My Saturn pad is also the purple Darkstalkers one, so it matches my Odin Sphere avatar. :p

So how are you guys liking this so far? Ive been tempted to get this over the last two days based on how great it looks, but was holding off to see some impressions on it.The fact that its more action based than RPG has me extremely interested to be honest...

As for loading, check the L2 menu. It calls up a stats screen that can take a few seconds to show up for no reason I can see, but only does it now and then. Sometimes it pops right in, other times it leaves you hanging for a bit. I've no idea why.

The stages themselves load in, sure, but it's not an unreasonable amount of time.

The most important sentence from that first quote of mine is "I like it, though." I do like it, and I'm glad I have it, no matter how often I swear at its shortcomings.

I'm not that far into it but I like it. The action's enjoyable (I like the Defender-ish enemy radar) so it's more than just a pretty face.
