Dino Crisis 2 was a lot of fun.

BTW, I got Odin Sphere for xmas and it's a pretty cool game that pratically makes me cum with it's balls-out amazing 2D visuals. I'm so hard-up for some 2D hand-drawn gameplay that I can easily deal with average gameplay (which ain't bad).

I've been waiting forever to see if 2D could be pushed farther than we've seen it on a console and I like it.

What's interesting is all the assets were originally made in high-def and then scaled down, so they could easily do a 360/PS3 game in the same style, and hopefully with better gameplay.

And yet it was still voted GOTM, demonstrating I was unable to work quick enough.

Also, a statement which may or may not be true as I am simply using half-assed not-really-statistics in such a way as to blatantly provide support for myself: That Odin Sphere got voted GOTM and yet ended up so hated while people were able to make it through Breakdown clearly demostrates which is the better game once you get past visual sheen.

I'm glad the Odin Sphere thread has Breakdown and DC2 discussion for no particular reason.

It's really, really hard for me to make a post without saying "Dino Crisis 2 is the best game ever made" or "Breakdown sucks" despite having received a good bit of counseling on the matter. Single posts where I do both are trouble.

Anyway, uh, I swear to you that I never once had a corrupted file on a PS2 memory card in the years I've been playing my launch model. Never had any of my PS1 cards lose data except the time I absentmindedly saved in a prerelease version of Spiderman. But PS3 virtual memory cards lose shit in RPGs like its their jobs, it seems. I don't know what the hell it is. The Persona 3 corruption is easy enough to avoid by not saving over your files, but it looks like Odin Sphere groups all your saves into one file no matter what you do, so I'm not feeling any better about this. It happened while I was in game, but what if I quit after that save? I... would not be feeling so good about that. Sigh, or something.

Third Strike replays never work right off of virtual memory cards, either. Though, it's funny to watch the characters get stuck in matches, standing in the wrong places and doing moves nowhere near each other. I guess. Kinda.

If I end up sinking hours into multiple characters and I lose my save before the end, I will be very unhappy.
