Toy Story 3

I bought the Toy Box set, and finally got to see Toy Story 3 today. I've seen a lot of movies in the past 28 years, and I can count on one hand the movies that have caused me to lose my shit, and still have fingers left over. It's nearly impossible for a film to get that kind of emotional response from me.

This one did.

No, the low point was where for the third movie in a row Woody told them something and they didn't believe him. Those toys never learn.

I think the point was they couldn't run away from Andy and leave on bad terms. When Andy decided to donate them it was ok because he knew where they were and he decided.

I loved the movie, it really touched me. It was also so god damn intense the entire time, shit never stops going bad once it starts.

Speaking of sequel-happy Pixar...

Disney announces Toy Story 4 for June 2017, directed by John Lasseter.

Not really digging this announcement, even with Lasseter on board. 3 ended things on an almost perfect note.

Gotta keep the merchandise rolling.

They've put out some great shorts since the Toys got a new family ( the Rex party machine one was fantastic) so I have faith.

I wonder if Andy will be in his late 20s, have a identity crisis and buy the toys back off of ebay.

Lasseter doesn't have it anymore. After Cars 2 being so fucking horrible, I don't want him touching anything. THAT SAID, he's only directing. Rashida Jones and some dude are coming up with the story.

Shit, Lasseter did Cars 2? Oh, hell no.

Yup, this is his return after that abortion.
People need to understand, it's ok to leave. You can run a company, but don't run it into the ground. Remember when Pixar originally said No Sequels? Sure TS2/3 and Monsters University did well enough and I'd hate to live in a world without Incredibles 2, but this is getting dicey.
