Anyone else had the Salmonella infested peanut butter?

Hey I loved peanut butter but I realized I have the salmonella infested jar the hard way. I had about 4 sandwhiches in 1 week last week. Problem is my stomich is still kinda bubbly. I needed to know if this is still the effects or if its just what I'm eating. I have not been eating much (obviously since my stomich isnt well) just mainly oatmeal orange juce some quaker bars and stuff.. Should I go see a doctor or what? I read that during some outbreaks people have actually died. My stomich feels like cramps or gas and has not gone away since. :bang:

I know a few people who got it in the Triad area of NC.

My grandfather had some, hadn't eaten it in some time, but he did have to go to the hospital a couple weeks ago because of stomach pains. After hearing about the peanut butter issue, he remembered having a PB sandwich that day.

My mom had a co-worker whose kid lost 8 pounds from being sick from the PB. Joke about it if you like, but it could be you puking your guts out or shitting burning acid for hours on end.

2 of them were half eaten, one creamy, one crunchy

No one got sick, and we took the lids to walmart to get replacements

Peanut butter is honestly one of the greatest foodstuffs there is and ever will be. The combinations you can do with it are great.

Peanut butter and jelly/jam/preserves.
Peanut butter and honey.
Peanut butter and chocolate.
Peanut butter and bananas.
Peanut butter and dill pickles.
Peanut butter and Fritos Scoops.
It's good for making Thai dipping sauces.

Peanut butter and salmonella - not so good.

Lately peanut butter has become a major part of my diet. I buy the large(?) size of extra crunchy Jif, and two loaves of whole wheat bread, which I finish in about 3 days, 4 tops. I don't bother to make sandwiches (I HATE pb&j), I just spread the peanut butter on a single slice, fold the bread and devour it promptly. I will repeat this process throughout the course of the day.

I usually run out of clean knives so I resort to using the convex side of spoons to spead the peanut butter onto the bread.
