Mike Pelfrey wasn't so hot tonight. In fact, Mets pitching in general hasn't been so hot since the Shea homestand. The amount of walks the starters have given up the past 4 days is embarrassing but in the end the Mets won 3 of 4 games so I can't complain yet. It will come back to haunt the Mets starters if they don't stop with the walks. God the weather sucks. All the players look like ninjas.

Walks can be the result of cold weather, I wouldn't get too worried yet.

So how 'bout that Roy Halladay. A 10 inning complete game. That must have been a fun game to watch.

Mets looked like shit today against the mighty Nats. El Duque gave up a few homers, gets kicked out and the Mets couldn't score with runners in scoring position. Endy Chavez hit a leadoff triple and Beltran, Delgado and Wright couldn't bring him home. Truly pathetic. On top of that in the first 5 home games there hasn't been ONE Mets homer. Zilch. Can't be the cold cause the competition is hitting them plenty.

3-2 isn't a bad mark for a homestand with crappy starting pitching and no HRs.

Yeah, I know. If he can improve his mentality sometime during his career (which hopefully may still happen, he's not that old yet...but that's what Cole Hamels is for).

Went to the Phillies game today, Hamels got beat on a bit but they looked like the real deal today. J-Roll hit another HR, he's like the new Ryan Howard right now.
