Question for the TNL Asian Guys

I played a punk rock show at a seminary school/camp/whatever you people call it.

It was a very strange experience. We were followed around by a group of priests with wires coming out of their heads.

ther actually a few things it could have been, there are standard seminaries, which are just colleges, and then there are spiritual retreats which are basicly gatherings to focus on some aspect of our everyday spirituality that needs expounding on. or it could have been a youth day event. As for the wires...i got nothing there.

I think it's a pretty racist concept to think you have to date in your own race. Sadly, I think there's a double standard. If white parents don't want their kid to date another race, it's (rightly) considered racist but if Asian parents don't want their kids dating another race, it's often accepted because its their "culture".

I have been in an interracial relationship for over a decade now with no problems. I'm white(English/Irish) and she's brown(Indian Fijian). Some insane homeless guy called her a nigger once as we walked by but that's about it.

This isn't quite true. There are definitely cultural differences loosely tied to race, but there's enough exceptions that it's not really fair to exclude anyone by race.

I love indian girls. There was one I was really into and we were good friends, but she would never date a non indian. Part of it was her parents, they would not allow her to and she respected that. They were placing a ton of pressure on her to get married too, and now she's engaged to another indian guy. The whole race thing and asian belief that worth is somehow tied to marriage is a fucked up way of thinking.

I'm white, and my wife of 6+ years (11 year relationship) is Japanese. She's never been interested in Asian guys, and I've always preferred Asian women.

I don't think it's racist at all. "Preserving the Race" is a legitimate argument. I mean do we really not want to see a variety of humans with specific distinct characteristics anymore?

Of course, only a quarter or a third of the population would be required to date within the race to do so. And you need at least 10% of the population to go outside the race to weed out the genetic flaws that come with isolation. So that leaves over half of us to go out and date whoever we want.

I'm not big into Asian women. Most have no hips, asses, or tits. I mean, I've seen some hot Asian women, don't get me wrong, but most of them have the bodies of 12 year old boys. Pass.

I don't even find most of their faces attractive. Most are kind of, I dunno…featureless. I think the most attractive Asian women are usually the ones that are of mixed race, like half white and half Chinese or Japanese or whatever. Like that actress Kelly Hu. Now that's a hot Asian.
