How does the actual gameplay compare with Saints Row?
Just got it, took half day off and playing it now..... awesome.
I just car jacked a minivan and as I pulled away the owner jumped at the door and hung on to the handle for a block and a half before I shook him off.
No bugs to report here, just took a wild cab ride and was admiring at how well the game was running.
Cars initially control like shit, until you get the hang of them. I don't have a gun yet so I can't comment on aiming, but there are waypoints!
I went last night and was part of the GTA IV MIDNIGHT CLUSTERFUCK!
It was so unorganized. Everyone basically loitered around the entrance to the mall until midnight, and guards let people in ten at a time. Check out the pics:
Here we are awaiting the big moment. Notice the complete lack of organization or even an attempt to form a line.

People were let in ten at a time, and while GS had three cashiers working efficiently, you had to wait until EVERYONE got their game before the guard escorted you back. I was #3, and the dudes in line here are #6-10.:(

Here's the view from the inside of the mall, on the way back.

This will be my first and last midnight launch. There was no thought put into it, and the seven guards on duty didn't have a clue between them. I told one of them that they should have everyone get in line along the wall, and one guard should be organizing them as they arrive while another lets them in the door five at a time. Another guard escorts them to GS and then takes them back. The guy just looked at me and shrugged. Dumbasses.
THIS IS WHY YOU CANNOT BE A PART OF OUR COUNTRY!
Still sorry you had such a bad experience, but I don't think being inside of a mall makes things easier.
This particular GS didn't have a street entrance, which made things harder, but this wasn't their first midnight launch. They should have this shit down pat by now.
Still, I got my game, so it's all good. :)
This is honestly the first game that's ever made me think, "Man, I wish I had a PS3."
We'll see...
Why would it make you think that?
Because I need something heavy to beat your mom with.
Plus, the game sounds pretty cool so far. But is it just the same GTA formula with some new bells and whisltes? I mean, are there any fundimental changes to the gameplay experience or is it just more of everything?
