I can only put WRT-DD Micro on my model (8) and everybody on the steam forums says that it's not worth the hassle for all the shit that goes wrong with it for Spiral Knights.Quote:

Tried out the DX11 and High Res pack for Crysis 2. I think my frame rate was chopped by ...75%? lol It runs like crap! Ah well. The textures sure are bumpy though. Thats with everything on Ultra. Not sure what each option does so I'm sure I can play around and find a sweet spot while enjoying the better textures and tesselation.
Apparently alt-tabbing out and back into the game once a level is loaded improves framerates. Give it a shot.
I just bought the game a couple of weeks ago for $40; It wasn't pushing my hardware at all, on the highest settings. I'll defineatly check out the update that was sorely needed.Quote:

I have a Radeon 5850. The game on DX9 at extreme settings runs like butter at 1080p (I use my tv). On DX11 at ultra..yikes. lol Alt-tabbing doesn't help and I don't know the performance nvidia users are getting with this update.

I have (2) GTX 460s (1024 MB) running with SLI enabled. It ran ultra-smooth at 1920 x 1080 with the DX9 extreme settings. On DX11 and Ultra it ran in the upper 20 range (the area I was in was filled with smoke) without a over-clock on my Video cards. I cranked up the 460's from 700 Mhz (core clock) to 800 and my frame-rate jumped up to the 38-40 range, but when the action got heated it dropped to the lower 30s. It'll probably run a bit smoother if I lower the particle effects down the extreme.Quote:

*Edit* Crysis 2 doesn't support Physx. It looks like I'll need to lower the particle effects a notch, since the smokey areas are the only time the game starts to chug.
