It really would be ideal on pc. You could rig some buttons on the side of the keyboard for a more authentic experience. I know a dude who did that.

I have buttons on the side of my arcade stick for emulated pinball and Pinball FX.
While looking around at upcoming games last night I came across Warframe, a F2P co-op third-person shooter that looks awesome and plays a whole lot like Mass Effect 3's multiplayer and is currently is some kind of beta (they seem a little unclear on whether it's open or closed, but it's still easy enough to get in).
I then looked up the company, Digital Extremes. What I found interesting was coming across Dark Sector's original trailer in 2005, before they completely revamped the look. The designs are the exact same ones they're using in this game.
That's all explained here:

Nice, thanks. When I looked up more stuff on Dark Sector I found the same names and realized there was a more direct correlation between the games besides just reusing old art that didn't get a chance to live.
7th Guest 3. What. The. Shit.
You're the first person I thought of when I saw that.
I should play 11th Hour one day.
Blade of Darkness (Severance) is now available at GOG. I actually still have the disc somewhere though I don't know if it plays nice with modern hardware. I assume the GOG version is a-ok in that regard.
