I'm not sure how friend requests work on this god forsaken system, but I'm down to add any of you and I want to complete those multi person challenges but won't do it with random people.
Also B-Ri I have a question for you regarding my PS3, because I'm too lazy to look up that thread where everyone was asking you questions and ask you there.
Not that hard to send friend's request Pineapple.
Thanks TNL! I got my silver trophy for people hearting the TNL Level

I know TNL's all "LOL GAF", but several people there collaborated to recreate every level of Contra in LBP. It's kind of awesome.
Totally rad.
It helps, you'll find a lot of textures and objects you can use in the editor. The basic building blocks can mostly be had by just going into the editor and doing the little instructional tutorials, though. And it's simple enough to just apply any texture or objects you find later onto something you've already made anyway.
Little Big Daft Punk
That's just wonderful.
Neat.

So that's what that mysterious whiteboard was about! Judge Dredd is getting his own sticker pack in LittleBigPlanet, one of many upcoming packs to LittleBigPlanet. According to Edge, a number of graphic artists are collaborating with Sony's community-driven platformer. Jon Burgermann is one of the first artists confirmed to be designing a few stickers for the game.
Media Molecule has approached a number of artists as well, such as Hellboy creator Mike Mignola and French artist Claire Wendling. Users who download stickers will be able to get a lot more functionality in the future as an upcoming patch will allow players to create items simply using stickers. "They are so empowering those bits because you just stick them on the materials, cut it out, and you've got like a handmade character."
Anyone know what the sales look like for LBP? It's support is amazing. I'm just curious if the sales support that.
only numbers i can find is 1.3 million worldwide, that was in January.
I'm still trying to finish up the single player part and each time I start playing I remember why I stop. I can appreciate what the game is trying to do but making the character have the weight of a 10 ton rock does not make the game fun. At all.
I bought this off of K3V (thank you) and I just don't like it. Then again, I can't find the option to play user levels ANYWHERE. I'm in the pod thingy and the only option is Garden or Grief the level (and something else, but I forget what).
I can't imagine you have to play X amount of the game first
If you're looking to sell it again, Joust, I think I might be ready to finally bite on this game!
I haven't seen mention of it anywhere, but I hope that Judge Dredd pack isn't gonna be a Europe only thing.
Yeah I never got through the whole thing either. Almost, but gave up on it near the end. The amount of user-generated content is amazing, though.
Well that's random.
Not really. Media Molecule is based in the UK, and Judge Dredd is the UK's most popular comic book character.
If they make an ICO pack it would make me so incredibly happy.
its real, if its just costumes or if its like the MGS4 pack is still unknown.
Shadow of The Colossus LBP DLC
I hear the "3 frames per second" environmental object is being included.
Any more info beyond that vid?
Comes out this week.
YAY
unfortunately just costume and sticker pack.
I hate to admit this, but I'm sick of sinking money into LBP for costume packs, even if they're costume packs of characters I love. Some more official levels would be ace, though (I'm through with shuffling through the user generated levels to find anything worthwhile).
Ive yet to buy a costume,
i think ill buy Ico.
Geen, ill get right on making V 2.0 of the TNL level.
edit: also, i thought i had read off the MM site that they just launched "the patch" which had a bunch of celebrity/big names created levels.

LBP Originals on THE PATCH
As most of you know, we’ve been spending the past few months touring and showing LittleBigPlanet at various promotional events. We’ve had the pleasure to meet a wide variety of great personalities from artists, to athletes, to musicians and allowed them to get their hands on LBP Create tools. Some provided great inspiration, some were extremely hands on, and in the end we came up with some great creations together, levels that in one way or another say something about what they are about. This Friday, you’ll be able to go online in LittleBigPlanet and check out a new hot spot destination on called “the patch”.
On “the patch” you’ll find LBP Original levels created by inspiring individuals and interesting personalities. For our first showcase, we are spotlighting Joe Vaux, Sarah Burke, and Nathan Cabrera. Throughout the week, you’ll hear from several of them and their own experiences creating their LBP Original, so stay tuned the rest of the week and find out what other personalities you’ll find on “the patch”.
How about they shut the fuck up and release it :)
See, we'll make these neat costumes designed to generate interest in the Ico brand. And then we'll charge the fans for the privilege to advertise our own IP. Everybody wins!
I'd have paid for a Metal Gear quality level pack but not this.
edit: UNLESS IT'S FREE
Yeah, fuck it being a costume and sticker pack. I wanted a level pack.
Dumb.
Awesome. Level pack, please.
It'll be a $5 outfit with stickers. I'm putting money on it.
I'm over LBP btw
Little Big Planet is depressing. I want to like it so much more than I actually do. I love everything about it except actually playing.
James
ME TOO.
And I'm not too happy about most of the official DLC being ads for other games and movies. I dunno, it seems to be missing the point.
I like the way it handles, reminds me of SMB1.
There are some places where your physics and the physics of a moving object you're on seem to be butting heads, though. That auto-scrolling-platformer-inside-a-giant-wheel section in the second to last story level is my fucking nemesis, it's the only thing keeping me from the 'Ace All Story Levels' trophy. I've tried it countless times, and every goddamn time the last section decides to make me arbitrarily take a perfectly valid jump either too long or too short and hurls me right onto a shock panel.
It handles nothing like SMB1 if you're referring to Super Mario Bros.
I agree with the butting heads comment though. I could never put my finger on it until reading your description.

Also apparently there is a Game of The Year addition of the game coming out soon, bundled with "all" (ill believe some) DLC from the game so far.
Costumes and Stickers suck my god damned dick!
apparently the traps are working items though.
Seriously, enough with this. How many different shades of lipstick is Sony going to put on this pig?
The correct answer is, "for the life of the system".
I just picked up this game for 25 dollars new from gogamer.com and I like it. Tried to play online and it was terribly laggy. Prolly play somemore sunday... So far I don't see what's so special about it.
Working the playstation booth, LBP was really focused on showing off the really awesome user created levels that were out there, i was actually pretty impressed with what i was seeing, there is some really creative and fun stuff out there, anyway:
An awesome piece of shit is still shit.
Does anyone actually play this game?
I'm gonna seriously get on Tnl level v2.0
missedtheboat.gov
Media Molecule is now adding water (finally) to the game engine and create tools (me thinks this is part of the DLC pack coming soon of new levels theyve created)
http://blog.us.playstation.com/2009/...ments-edition/
Someone buy my copy please.
I finally got a real capture device, and recaptured the TNL level.
youtube is still processing so the quality may continue improving.
LOL! I played this a long time ago. Biff wasn't in it then was he?
I made this when the beta came out, and goofy things happened when it transitioned to the retail release, so did the biff design.
The biff design was the post whoring, fire crotch unicorn. :o
That's pretty fucking cool, dude. Creative shit like this is one reason I've kept LBP.
You didn't put enough cocks in biff's mouth, though. Try to be a bit more accurate.
Maybe you can't make cocks in LBP?
Tell me about the PSP version. Can you import levels created on PS3, or only PSP stuff.
(Normally, I'd never ask such a noob question, but lets be honest. the graphics in LBP aren't exactly top of the line).
They wanted to but as far as i remember they were unable to get it to work.
I'm all for knowing if the single player PSP version is difficult as well. I'm hoping the only way to do it isn't to create every level I wanna play. I dunno how deep the PSP d/l community levels go either.
I havent played it beyond the comic con demo, but apparently the platforming is superior to its PS3 big brother.
Also, looks like littleBADromance is now on Kotaku :o
Hate.
I remember signing up sometime during the summer for a LBP "Underwater" expansion beta but never heard anything, nor have I seen anything online about it since then. Anybody else hear about it?
So I just read a preview for LBP2: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/li...-first-preview
I liked the first one well enough but the horrible platformer physics + level search really held it back. The sequel is apparently going to allow people to tweak all sorts of movement options for your character and there's a massively improved level search/suggestion tool.
There's actually a ton of really impressive changes coming (like the part where you can map controller functions directly to level objects and the improved machinima stuff) so you should probably just read the article. I might actually pick it up if it all pans out.
I was pretty impressed with the preview trailer I saw for LBP2. I think it's definitely something that I'll try out when it's released later this year.
If they make it not control like Virtua Fighter I'll be happy.
I am absolutely excited for littlebigplanet 2. I wish i had had more time to spend with the tools of number 1. Since they say theyll be backwards compatible, maybe i can still knock out some levels beforehand.
The first one sucked ass.
The first one should have been great. I'm really hoping the changes to the sequel make it worth playing. I don't mind getting my hands dirty screwing around with the control settings if I can turn something as charming as LBP into a game I'd want to spend time with.
James
I liked the first, but 2 looks so much better in every conceivable way.
So, yeah, I'm super late to actually playing this game (just in time for the sequel!), but it is awesome. Super Mario Brothers + Jackass = the game I never knew I needed.
It's like Michael Gondry made a video game if he didn't actually hate video games.
In any case, great game.
Yup, same here. I actually wanted it more for level creating than anything else. Having to play the game to unlock and find all of the tools in the level creator sucked ass.
Have everything unlocked from the get go in the level creator and I'll be there day 1. Forcing me to play your shitty levels is a deal breaker.
