Considering that we never got a proper home port of the original arcade game, and the fact that this update has HD visuals, new music, and online multiplayer, I think the price-point is pretty solid, for once.
HD-visuals=bookends?
Double Dragon Advance makes every other DD game worthless. Unless this XBLA port has truly spectacular co-op, I think I'll pass.

ugh.. I had to turn down the volume for double dragon. That is such awful music. Can these devs at least put some halfway decent remakes of the music?? The remade graphics are nice and it plays well enough. I probably will skip purchasing it. I can't think of what to get though as I have plenty of points leftover.

I got mine just as I got to the first spear, so I don't think it's part of the requirement.
I'm liking the game, but they really needed to let you map the elbow move to a single button. One wrong press and you're punching or jumping instead.
Would have been nice if the headbutt was remapped to a separate button as well since it and the elbow drop are two of the best attacks in the game.

If you're talking about beating the two Abobos on top of the cliff, that's not all of Stage 3. You have to somehow be placed in the right position after defeating the last Abobo so that when the computer makes you forfeit the bat, it flies into the next area for you to pick up.Quote:

And yeah, the end of stage 3 is the green Abobo, not the two cave Abobos. When a weapon is knocked out of your hand it flies in the direction you're facing, so scroll the screen as far as you can and let them hit you from behind. You can pick it up before you jump down the cliff for the second half of stage 3. Duh. It's even in the Hints and Tips section of the menu, which is actually pretty neat. It basically says elbow is #1, which is right. Picking up weapons is for noobs.

The two player mode sounds like Pounce, which is an awesome card game (that is pretty much multiplayer Soliatare) but it is definitely best when four people are playing. :\
