Do people really think of God as like a personality in the sky? Like I understand that we discuss god in anthropomorphized terms, saying he watches us, he's sad when we sin, and all that shit, but they also say that he's absolute, all knowing, all powerful and unchanging, so there's a sense that discussions of him like this thinking talking person-like entitiy would have to be metephorical... right? Or do they just not think it through?
I mean if God is really sitting there watching you and listening to your stupid prayers then he isn't God, he's just some really smart alien that made you.
