The FPS mode isn't as bad as I thought it would be. Sure, it is very clunky but you can still play it like TC by popping in and out. The 2nd stage is actually alot better. The problem I have is the ergonomics of Guncon 3 and using the dual analog while trying to aim. It is a nightmare, I had neck cramps and back fatigue from the way you have to hold the gun (because it is so small). It really doesn't work, I wish you can separate the left analog like the Wii's nunchuck.
Tonight I tried putting the Guncon 3's LED markers a little closer, with the end result as follows:
(using 35" 4:3 TV)
Left Marker: about 1/3 of the way from the left edge
Right marker: about 1/3 of the way from the right edge
For me, this improved the Multi-Screen Battle turning (by aiming outside the screen) and the aim quite a bit. Now I can generally take Marcus' truck down in 2 shots.
So I just got this used today at GS. Is it true that you can use the Rock Band pedal?
Where would you plug the pedal??
USB port, no? How many ports does the gun use? I haven't taken it out of the box yet, so I don't know.
